- Open your image in Photoshop
The image you have thought to edit will first be opened in photoshop. Open the two headshots in Photoshop by clicking File and then selecting Open from the dropdown menu. - Resize your image
Now you have to adjust the layer to 60% opacity to see what you see under the layer. Using CTRL + T, position the cut face by lining up the mouth and eyes, stretching as much as needed to get them to line up as much close as you can.
To adjust the face over your bottom image, hold the Shift key and then click the box and drag. If you hover around the corner, it will give you all of the rotation toggles that let you turn the image.
Getting the faces to line around will need some patience and also a little trial and error to use your eye to find the position that looks just closest to being natural. Once you are happy with the result, press Enter to finalize your placement.
This is very important. If you forget to press Enter when you are finished, all of your hard work will get lost. Then you have to adjust the layer opacity back to being 100%.
Copy your background layer

Rename the copy layer ‘body’ as it will then make up most of the final photo you will get. Go ahead and then click on the Visibility Eye to easily hide your background layer.
- Create the clipping mask
Now press on CTRL while you are also clicking the thumbnail of your face layer. This will now select the shape of the face overall layers. Select the body layer and then click on the Visibility Eye of your face layer to hide it completely. After the background and the face layer are hidden wholly, you will only see the layer you selected.
- Cerate the slight overlap of your face with Body
Go on to the Photoshop menu in the header and then click Select. Then pick Modify and select Contract. In the dialog box, press 10px. This will then shrink the clipping mask up to 10 pixels that will let the face overlap the Body only by a few pixels.
- Delete the face from the body layer
While the body layer is selected, press Delete or Backspace to remove any area that is under the face. Press CTRL + D to deselect.
- Select your body and face layers
Go over Edit in Photoshop menu. Select the Auto-Blend Layers from your dropdown menu. A box will then pop up. Select the Panorama and check onto the boxes for seamless Tones and Colors and then Content-Aware Fill Transparent Areas before you click OK.
